Personal Experience & Biography

Areas of expertise and interest

I have experience leading and working on the design, implementation and evaluation of assessments for selection (both online and face-to-face), within healthcare and non-healthcare settings. I enjoy taking a human-centred approach to projects, creating outputs to inform policies and practical solutions, whilst also making sure systems and outputs meet the needs and requirements of the users.

Exciting projects I am currently working on

I’m currently leading a range of projects in selection and assessment, and organisational change, and evaluation. One area that I am particularly interested in is widening access and differential attainment which has led to me working on a number of projects focusing on widening access within medical education, seeking create fair processes with consideration for equality, diversity and inclusion throughout. Alongside this, I support the research team of WPG. Research is the focal point of all of the work that we do that WPG, and it is fascinating applying research within practice.

What I can’t live without

My walking boots – I love the fresh air, walking out in the countryside and comfort is key! A scone/cake at the end of the walk is also a bonus.

What I would happily live without

Marmite – lover or hater, I am definitely a hater!
