Personal Experience & Biography

Areas of expertise and interest Evidence-based practice is at the heart of what we do at Work Psychology Group (WPG); likewise, it is what drives my practice as a Psychologist at WPG. My experience in translating academic theory for best practice in the workplace is supplemented by my quantitative and qualitative skills. I am particularly interested in the development and growth of organisations undergoing change, assessment and selection in high stakes settings, as well as the impact of individual differences within organisations. The latter was a focal point of my MSc research looking at the experiences of childfree British men; I am keen to further my expertise in the related area of diversity and inclusion as I hope to contribute to a positive impact for employees and employers alike in this area.
Exciting projects I am currently working on I am currently reviewing the evidence base on the topic of “potential” in the workplace for a multinational organisation; in particular, I am focussing on the practical implications for leadership within organisations. I am also assisting in colleagues with the design and implementation of a bespoke Situational Judgement Test for the selection of Dental Core Trainees. Within my role, I also support the business in our marketing activity, including sharing updates via our Twitter and LinkedIn, as well as keeping our website up to date.
