Personal Experience & Biography

Areas of expertise and interest

I have experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating assessments/assessment centres for selection in high stakes settings. In addition, I am experienced in undertaking safety culture health checks and implementing culture improvement programmes in the UK and internationally. I am interested in learning more about the benefits and risks of using technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in selection and assessment. I am also very interested and passionate about national culture and how it can influence the way people conduct their lives and behave in the work environment.

Exciting projects I am currently working on

I am currently supporting the development of Situational Judgement Tests (SJT) used for entrance into medical schools. Another project I am involved in, is the development of a framework to evaluate recruitment approaches to address widening access in the New UK Medical Schools.  Medicine has been seen as an elite profession with many barriers to entry and I am excited that I am working on a project that will help people from all walks of life to access this field.

What I can’t live without

Anything that has to do with music; I do not think I could ever live without my guitar or speakers.

What I would happily live without

Unpopular opinion but I do not like pizza! I would happily live without it.
