What does good recruitment look like?

Welcome back to our 2025 ‘Showcase’ series, where we explain how occupational psychology can help you tackle a range of business or HR challenges.

We started by thinking about the value of career planning tools. In this instalment, we’re moving onto recruitment. Good recruitment can boost productivity, create effective and high-performing teams, and enhance long-term success. Poor recruitment can lead to reputational damage, high turnover, and a disengaged or poorly performing workforce.

We work with many organisations to provide assessment and selection services: We provide bespoke products to make assessment more engaging, rigorous and predictive of future success, and we also offer advisory services to help clients re-imagine or refine what’s currently happening in their context.

We’re particularly proud of our long-term partnership with the National Health Service. We’ve worked with multiple groups across UK healthcare to ensure recruitment of doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare scientists is working effectively and promoting excellent standards of practice and patient care. Click here to see examples of the type of work we’ve delivered in collaboration with our clients.

Our work in selection and assessment is regularly recognised as best in class by our clients and peers. In 2024, we won the Association for Business Psychology Award for Excellence in Selection for our partnership with the NHS, and our work has formed the basis of numerous peer-reviewed academic papers, textbooks, and conference papers.

If you’d like to understand more about how insights from occupational psychology can help you create recruitment processes fit for the 21st century, contact us directly to discuss.
